The style is great and the building blocks are solid, but it's just too shallow in terms of the gameplay itself. In the few playthroughs I've completed Arcane is basically unless you are playing the wizard since magic drops are so rare, your slots are so limited that your strategy should probably just be weapon and shield, and the game is so linear that it can often feel like it's just playing itself. I'm a big sucker for rogue-likes and the "grim rat" aesthetic's got a lot of potential, but I feel like this game needs more work to really bring it to life.
